Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard organized a traning workshop on rescue operations, firefighting and public awareness activities during the disaster in Mongla.
Lieutenant Commander Harun-Or-Rashid, media officer of coast guard headquarters, confirmed the information on Wednesday.
He said, "Since its inception, Bangladesh Coast Guard has been working tirelessly to protect the lives and property of the people in coastal and riverine areas. Members of the coast guard have been conducting rescue operations, distributing relief, providing emergency medical services and rehabilitating victims during various disasters in the country."
"As a part of this, a workshop and public awareness activities on rescue operations during disasters titled 'Youth Festival-2025' was organized by Coast Guard Base Mongla from 9 am to 11 am on Wednesday", he said.
In the workshop, special discussions on natural disasters and practical training on firefighting were held with the participation of students, teenagers and young people from various local schools and colleges of Mongla", the media officer added.
