De Olympus FC clinch Inter De Guerrian Football Tournament title

Azimpur-based football club De Guerra FC hosted a day-long Inter De Guerrian Football Tournament 2025 which was held at Royal Multisport Arena at Mohammadpur in the capital on Friday amid festive mood. Powered by AC Red and sponsored by Comfy Wear, BK garments, Rose berry BD, total six teams will take part in the six-a-side football tournament.

Each team played two matches in the round stage and after showing some determined football four teams finally booked last four tickets. 

In the first semifinal De Olympus FC scrapped past De Black Force in a thrilling tie-breaker while De Team Gladiator pulled off an exciting 1-0 goal victory over De Blue Battalion in the second semifinal to clinch final ticket. 

In the exciting final match, De Olympus FC beat De Team Gladiator to seal the trophy after yet another thrilling tie-breaker.  The final match ended a goalless draw and after that the match decided tie-breaker where champion De Olympus FC netted four goals while runner-up Gladiator were able to manage three goals. 

Gladiators' Xobaer was named the player of the tournament. Adnan of De Warriors F.C was the top scorer while De Olympus F.C's goalkeeper Tushar was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament.Khondakar Mahmud Arshin, Sports Secretary of Dhaka Zilla BNP and member of Bangladesh District & Divisional Sports Organiser Association witnessed the final match as chief guest and distributeed the prizes among the winners.

De Guerra F.C is a renowned football club based in Azimpur area. Since the inception in 2009, the Club has been hosting football tournament every year with Azimpur local people. Since 2016 the club has been organsing inter De Guerrian Tournament every year. 

Current President of the club is Md Sumon, senior Vice President Moshahid Omar, General secretary Rahat Khan and Legal affairs secretary Advocate Akm Anis.
