Mamunur Rashid made BTCL Managing Director

Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has appointed Engineer Mohammad Mamunur Rashid in the Managing Director post with effect from 10 August 2025. Earlier on Mohammad Mamunur Rashid served BTCL as the organization's Deputy Managing Director, according to a press release received on Monday signed by Rawnak Jahan, General Manager, BTCL.

Mohammad Mamunur Rashid joined BTCL in Mymensingh on 25 February 1967. He completed BSC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1991. Mohammad Mamunur Rashid acquired Master degree in Telecommunications from Waseda University, Japan in 2005. Moreover, Mohammad Mamunur Rashid accomplished Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IBA, Dhaka University in 2016.

Mohammad Mamunur Rashid qualified in the 13th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exams and joined the then telecommunication and telegraph board in 1994. He visited Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, France, Austria and Switzerland during his decorated professional career to join seminars, conferences and training programs.

In his personal life, Mohammad Mamunur Rashid is married and he has one son and two daughters, the press release concludes.
