Basic training programs initiated for Ansar-VDP members

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) has initiated a new stream of basic training programs for Ansar-VDP members working at upazilas across the country. Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud inspected a training camp in the capital's Dhanmondi on Wednesday (27 August 2025).

Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud said that Ansar-VDP officers and troops are being reoriented to boost their confidence, to bolster their professional capabilities and to enhance their dedication to service. Ansar-VDP personnel play significant roles in sustaining law and order situation throughout Bangladesh and in preventing crimes, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud added.

52, 183 Ansar-VDP members will be brought under the umbrella of this training program phase by phase. This training program kicked off from 26 August 2025 and it will continue up to 10 January 2026, according to a press release received from Ansar-VDP Headquarters on Wednesday.
