Swimming, water polo, diving contests held in Naval Headquarters

The closingceremony of a swimming, water polo and diving competition joined by personnelfrom Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force was held atNaval Headquarters in the capital’s Banani on Thursday (18 September 2025).Assistant Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Muhammad Musa (Operations) attendedthe event as the chief guest and handed over prizes to the winners.

The competitionwent on for 5 days from 14 to 18 September. Bangladesh Navy won the first placewith 19 gold medals. Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force secured thesecond and third places respectively, according to a press release from InterServices Public Relations (ISPR).

Two members ofBangladesh Navy Md. Samiul Islam and Kajol Mia turned out to be the bestperformers in the contest. Senior military officers and members of the armedforces holding different ranks and files were present on the occasion, thepress release concludes.
