Six newly launched political parties are all set to get registration approval from the Election Commission (EC), trustworthy sources have stated. These political parties include National Citizens Party (NCP), Bangladesh Am Jonogon Party, Bangladesh Nezam-E-Islami Party and Bangladesh Jatiya League. Reliable sources have informed that a tentative list of new parties on the verge of being registered with the EC was obtained by some news agencies on Monday (22 September 2025).
The Election Commission will issue the final list of newly registered political parties when all formalities are done. EC has not yet published names and particulars of any parties officially. These things will be finalized through meetings at the Election Commission Headquarters. EC Senior Secretary Akhter Ahmed told journalists yesterday that the names of the political parties waiting for registration will be declared to mass media when all official endorsements and signatures are accomplished.
The documents submitted by 22 political parties have been meanwhile examined by the EC. The concerned papers were handed over to the Election Commission yesterday reportedly. The Election Commission reserves full authority to make further additions or exclusions, officials from EC have told media workers.
