Serious irregularities have been alleged against Bhaluka Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mostafa Kamal in Mymensingh.
According to the complaint source, Mostafa Kamal submitted an investigation report without conducting any investigation to reinstate the temporarily suspended headmaster of Batajore BM High School in Kachina Union of the upazila, A: Kuddus, in exchange for a large sum of money, following multiple allegations of moral degradation, obscenity with female students, and student protests, human chains and continuous agitation.The investigation revealed that on 21/11/2024, a resolution was passed to temporarily expel the headmaster A. Kuddus based on the investigation report of the former Upazila Secondary Education Officer.
Then, on 11/07/25, in the wake of the written statement of the dismissed headmaster, Mustafa Kamal unilaterally submitted an investigation report without discussing or taking their statements with any of the plaintiffs and without any investigation.
Immediately after this, there was a stir among the school, local residents and on social media regarding the matter. In several videos published on social media, it can be seen that the Secondary Education Officer Mostafa Kamal admitted to the unilateral investigation without informing the plaintiffs and asked the plaintiffs to file a complaint again with the Upazila Executive Officer's office.
Meanwhile, local residents and several students of the school are complaining that the Upazila Secondary Education Officer gave such a report in exchange for a large sum of money.When asked about the complaint, the Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mostafa Kamal told Asian Age that he made a mistake by submitting a unilateral investigation report. He also said that he would resubmit the report.
Regarding the complaint, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Mahmud told Asian Age that if a complaint is received again in this regard, necessary action will be taken subject to further investigation.
In this regard, Mymensingh District Education Officer Mohsina Khatun told Asian Age that if a complaint is received in this regard, legal action will be taken as per the rules.
