Regional School Swimming Competition Held in Bogura

 
Organised by Bangladesh School Sports Association and in collaboration with Bogura District Sports Association, the regional school swimming competition was held at Bogura Swimming Pool on Saturday afternoon.

Director (Secondary), Directorate of Secondary Higher Education, Rajshahi, Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel inaugurated the swimming competition as chief guest by releasing a balloon festoon.

Under the chairmanship of Professor Md. Shawkat Ali Mir, Principal of Government Azizul Haque College, Bogura District Sports Association Member Secretary Md. Toshaddeq Hossain, Bogura District Education Officer Ramzan Ali Akand, Azizul Haque College Vice Principal Abdul Wahed Sarkar, and Bogura District School Headmaster Anwar Hossain were present as special guests.

Principal of Rit Model School and College, Engineer Md. Shahab Uddin Saikat, members of the ad hoc committee of Bogra District Sports Association, Khaled Mahmud Rubel, Mominur Rashid Shahin, President of Erulia High School, Shahidul Islam Shahid, Treasurer of Bangladesh School Sports Association, Fazle Rabbi were also present on the occasion.

80 swimmers from 8 educational institutions participated in the regional swimming competition. Israt Jahan Barsha of Rit Model School won the championship in the girls' category and Nirab Hossain of the same school won the championship in the boys' category. After the competition, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners.
