Ansar-VDP DG visits Durga Puja pavilion in Uttara
 
Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud visited a Durga Puja pavilion in the capital's Uttara on Monday (29 September 2025). Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud said "Bangladesh is a country comprising a long legacy of communal harmony. Ansar-VDP troops have been deployed all over the country in order to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted Durga Puja celebrations for Hindu devotees."

Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud talked to the Ansar-VDP officers and members who are on duty and gave them necessary directives and guidelines. He said that Ansar-VDP personnel have baffled attempts to obstruct Durga Puja ceremonies in some parts of Bangladesh and such vigilance and quick response from Ansar-VDP members will continue throughout the year including puja festivities for upholding interreligious fraternity everywhere.

Ansar-VDP Additional Director General Brigadier General Fida Mahmud, Deputy Director General (Operations) Md. Saifullah Russell, Deputy Director General (Dhaka Range) Md. Ashraful Alam and some other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
