Ansar-VDP troops on guard to ensure smooth Durga Puja celebrations

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud has said that Ansar-VDP officers and members of all ranks and files have baffled all conspiracies to jeopardize peace and stability across the country.

Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud visited Durga Puja pavilions at Rupganj upazila under Narayanganj district and Madhobdi upazila under Narsingdi district on Tuesday (30 September 2025). He expressed firm hope and confidence that all peace-loving people across Bangladesh including the Hindu devotees will be able to enjoy the puja festivities under sound and smooth circumstances. Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud asserted that Ansar-VDP personnel are on guard round the clock to fortify the security arrangements laid out for uninterrupted Durga Puja formalities throughout Bangladesh.

Ansar-VDP Deputy Director General (Operations) Md. Saifullah Russell, Deputy Director General Md. Ashraful Alam (Dhaka Range), Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anwar Hossain, Police Super Md. Minhazul Alam and some other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
