Germany wants to strengthen trade facilities with BD: Envoy

German Ambassador to Bangladesh Rudiger Lotz has said that his country is interested in working together with Bangladesh to develop trade relations
He said this at a meeting with Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

The German envoy praised the growth of economic dimensions of Bangladesh.

During the meeting the Commerce Adviser said that there is an excellent bilateral trade relation between Bangladesh and Germany and it is necessary to diversify trade between the both countries. 

The Adviser went on saying that Germany is the second largest export destination for Bangladeshi products. He urged German importers to import more ready-made garments, home textiles, medicine, plastic products, footwear, bicycle and leather products from Bangldesh. Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman and Deputy Head of German Embassy Enza Kristen were present at that time.
