National Citizens Party (NCP) chief coordinator Sarjis Alam has said that death is the only way out for some Advisers. He blamed certain Advisers for miserably failing to carry out their duties following the July Revolution in August 2024 when the interim government took power.
In Sarjis Alam's words "The Advisers have totally forgotten that they are standing on the blood of the martyrs of the July Uprising. Unscrupulous Advisers have nowhere to run. Death is their only exit. The country's people will get hold of them wherever they hide."
Sarjis Alam made the above fired up comments on Tuesday while addressing a view exchange meeting at Naogaon sadar upazila with local NCP leaders. Sarjis Alam complained that the Election Commission has become restless to endorse registration for a party called Jatiya League. According to Sarjis Alam, Jatiya League has just a tiny office located close to a toilet. Sarjis Alam warned that Bangladesh's people including students and NCP will baffle any attempt to rehabilitate banned outfit Awami League.
Sarjis Alam stated that conspiracies to reinstate Awami League under cover of some other name will not be tolerated.
Sarjis Alam asserted that NCP will contest elections with Shapla symbol. He blamed the Election Commission for being subjugated by certain political parties' pressure. He called upon the Election Commission not to behave like the overthrown regime's loyalists.
Sarjis Alam sympathized with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's sorrow over his younger brother Koko who died several years ago. Sarjis Alam added that Awami League repressed the leaders and activists of BNP and all other political opponents in most ruthless ways.
NCP Joint Convener Monira Sharmin, Rajshahi Divisional Organizing Secretary Imran Emon and NCP leaders and activists from different parts of Naogaon district participated in the meeting.
