BMU achieves 'Evidence Ambassador' recognition

Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) has achieved an extraordinary accomplishment in the field of Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC), receiving formal recognition as an 'Evidence Ambassador for 2025' by World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day.

This international recognition places BMU within the ranks of renowned institutions globally that are actively engaged in developing and promoting evidence-based healthcare practices, said a press release on Wednesday. 

The designation as an 'Evidence Ambassador' reflects the university's unwavering commitment to research, clinical excellence, and informed decision-making.

In addition to the institutional award, two distinguished members of the university were individually recognized as ambassadors for their outstanding contributions.

Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam, the Vice-Chancellor of BMU and a renowned liver specialist, was recognized in the Videography category while Dr. Dine Mujahid Farooq Osmani, Additional Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), was recognized in the Visual Media category.

This achievement is noted as a moment of glory for Bangladesh, significantly strengthening the country's position in the international health and academic arena. The success is attributed to the collective efforts of BMU's leadership, faculty, and students, who are playing a vital role in global health and knowledge exchange.
