BNP's 31-point charter is an outline for  'new Bangladesh': Advocate Tapu
 
The 31-point charter announced by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is an outline for building a 'new Bangladesh', Brahmanbaria District BNP Law Affairs Secretary and Sarail Upazila BNP General Secretary Advocate Nuruzzaman Lasker Tapu said.

He was addressing a huge rally arranged by Pakshimul Union unit of BNP in Sarail upazila on Wednesday with a view to implementing the '31-Point Outline for Structural Reforms in Bangladesh' unveiled by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman  on July 23 in 2023.

Advocate Tapu, who aspires to get the BNP nomination from Brahmanbaria-2 constituency, said, "The political programmes and slogans announced by Tarique Rahman had inspired the people of Bangladesh to fight against the authoritarian regime and those programmes were reflected in the July Uprising led by students and people."

The 31-point charter includes most of the reform proposals presented by the interim government, he added.

"The 31-point charter is not merely a political commitment, it is a document of restoring democracy, establishing justice and giving back the rights of people," the young BNP leader said. Advocate Tapu urged BNP leaders and activists to make people learn about Tarique Rahman's 31-point reform proposals for building a prosperous Bangladesh.

Sarail Upazila BNP President Anisul Islam Thakur, Organizing Secretary Dulal Mahmud Ali, Aruail Union BNP President Mazharul Haque, Sarail Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Convener Nurul Amin, Sarail Upazila JASAS President Ripon Thakur, Sarail Upazial Swechchhasebok Dal Member Secretary Alamin, Nur Uddin, Walid addressed the programme, among others.
