The Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC) is set to host the "7th JUSC National Science Festival 2025" on October 17 and 18, aiming to foster a scientific mindset and innovative thinking among students.
The details of the two-day event were announced at a press conference held at the conference room of the university's Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) on Thursday (9th October) afternoon.
Leaders of the organisation informed that the festival will feature 10 competitive segments for school, college, and university students, with a total prize pool of BDT 91,000. The competitions include the 11th Math Olympiad, Biology Olympiad, Science Quiz, Rubik's Cube, Project Showcasing, and robotics contests like Line Follower Robot and Robo Soccer.
The first day of the festival, October 17, will feature intellectual competitions such as the Olympiads and quizzes at the university's School and College premises. The remaining events and the prize-giving ceremony will be held on the second day, October 18, at the Zahir Raihan Auditorium.
Organisers stated that champions and runners-up in each segment would receive prizes from the total prize money. Winners will also be awarded e-certificates, t-shirts, and other gifts. In the Math Olympiad alone, 15 winners will be awarded across three categories. Speaking at the conference, JUSC President Md. Saurav and General Secretary Musa said that a team of 114 volunteers and 48 campus ambassadors are working relentlessly to make the event a success.
