Typhoid vaccination campaign inaugurated in Bogura

 
A month-long Typhoid Conjugate Vaccination (TCV) campaign has been inaugurated at the premise of Bogura BIAM Model School and College in Bogura on early Sunday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura Husna Afroza inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest with the immunization of the students of the school while Civil Surgeon of Bogura Dr. Khurshid Alam presided over the whole programme. 

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bogura Zedan-Al Musa, Director of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) of Bogura Dr. Afzarul Habib Rose, District Education Officer Ramzan Ali Akanda, District Primary Education Officer Rezwan Hossian, District Senior Information Officer Mahfuzar Rahman, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. SM Nur-e-Sadid, Principal of the institution Mostafizar Rahman were present as special guests. 

Civil Surgeon (CS) of Bogura Dr. Khurshid Alam informed the news men that at least 5082 children have been targeted in 17 schools to take under immunization campaign in the very first day of the programme. 

9,48,376 children aged from 9 months to blow 15 years have been taken under the campaign by appointing 766 vaccinators and 5016 volunteers in 3377 schools and 2724 vaccinations centres under 3207 words under 9 upazilas of the district. 15 vigilance teams have also been assigned to observe the vaccination activities in the district, added the CS.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura Husna Afroza urged all professionals specially the journalists of Bogura to publish the news on vaccination campaign to let the guardians of the children to be encouraged to immunize their children soon.
