Indian national arrested in fraud case
 
Police arrested an Indian national in a fraud case from Uttara area in the capital at around 11:00pm on Sunday.  The arrestee has been identified as Jagdish Singh.  Md Abdul Hannan, officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station, confirmed the matter yesterday noon. 

According to the complaint, Jagdish Singh and some others deliberately prepared fake documents through forgery and forged signatures for the purpose of breach of trust and fraud and tried to embezzle money. In this incident, the victim filed a case with Ashulia Police Station. According to police sources, the arrestee is an Indian citizen. He married Bangladeshi citizen Laila Sharmin Priya about 10-11 years ago and was living in Gulshan and Uttara, Dhaka. They have three children in their married life. Currently, he was living with his wife and children in the Army Housing Society under Dakshinkhan Police Station.

OC Abdul Hannan said, "An Indian national has been arrested in a case of fraud and forgery. He was handed over to the court on Monday afternoon. We assume that 2 or 3 Bangladeshis are involved in this gang."
