IU Chhatra Dal demands Justice for Jubayed

The Islamic University (IU) unit of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (BCD) on Monday staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the killers of Chhatra Dal leader Jubayed Hossain.

Marking the protest, leaders and supporters of the unit Chhatra Dal gathered in front of the faculty building at around 1:30pm and later paraded throughout the campus roads. 

IU Chhatra Dal convener Shahed Ahmed, member-secretary Masud Rumi Mithun, joint conveners Anwar Parvez, Ahsan Habib, Abu Daud, Anarul Islam, and members Abu Sayeed Rony, Rafiz Ahmed, Nur Uddin, Roknuzzaman, Swakkhar were present there.

During the rally, they chanted many slogans including "Education and terrorism cannot stay together", "Why was Jubayed killed? We demand Interim to answer", "Our brother is in the grave, why are the killers free?" etc. 

After the rally, unit Chhatra Dal convener Shahed Ahmed said, "Although the police have arrested one of Jubayed's killers, the full identity of all those involved has not yet been revealed. From CCTV footage, we saw one person wearing a red shirt and another in a black shirt, these individuals have not yet been publicly identified. We demand their immediate arrest."
