Three rice mills fined in Sarail

 
A mobile court has fined three rice mills Tk 50,000 each in Brahmanbaria's Sarail upazila for violating the section 6(e) of the Environment Conservation Act, 1995.

Md Mosharaf Hossain, upazila nirbahi officer and executive magistrate, led the mobile court drive on Fardin Auto Rice Mill, Master Agro Food and Hazi Ramjan Ali Auto Rice Mill in Shantinagar area of the upazila on Thursday noon. UNO Mosharaf Hossain said, "With a view to protecting environment, such drives will continue."
