All-rounder Abu Hider struck 107 from 105 balls as Mymensingh Division finished their first innings with 401 runs before being all-out on Day two of their first round game in the National Cricket League (NCL) at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Abu Hider hit 10 fours and six sixes in his brilliant innings after Ariful Islam hit 101 as Mymensingh Division recovered from a shaky start to keep them flowing against Sylhet . In reply, Sylhet were able to manage 191 for five till the report. Thanks to Ariful's century Mymensingh ended the Day 1 at 268-7.
Abu Haider Rony was batting on 16 with Shohidul Islam on 10 at stumps on the opening day. Abdul Mazid scored 65 and added 127-run with Ariful after Mymensingh were reduced to 21-3, losing vaunted top order.
Tahjibul Islam was the other notable scorer of Mymensingh with 43.
Pacer Syed Khaled Ahmed was the most successful bowler for Sylhet with 3-76 while Asadullah Al Galib took 3-24.
Earlier, Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy and middle order batter Yasir Ali Chowhdury hit centuries as Chattogram took the strong hold against Rajshahi on Day 1 at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium. Joy played a fluent 127 off 165, featuring 15 fours and two sixes while Yasir hammered 138 ball-129 with10 fours and six sixes as Chattogram put up 401 before being all out. Wicket-keeper Irfan Shukkur hit a quick fire 72 off 63 with 12 fours to play a perfect foil to thecenturions. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam toiled hard for four wicket, conceding 159 runs in 34 overs.

Hasim who took second highest 12 wickets in nine matches of NCL T20 at an envious economy rate of 5.03, took three wickets for 47 runs after bowling 18 overs in this match, helping the side wrap up Dhaka innings for 221.
But veteran Marshall Ayub dealt with Hasim better to hit 105, a knock that was instrumental in taking the side past 200.
Youngster Jishan Alam contributed 71 and added 153 with Marhsal to help the side recover from the shaky 13-3.
After the partnership was broken, Dhaka lost seven wickets for 55 runs.Mehedi Hasan and Nasir Hossain took two wickets apiece to complement HasimRangpur ended the day at 65-2, still trailing by 156 runs. Opener Abdullah Al Mamun was batting on 33 while Hasim who came as nightwatchman is yet to score.
