ACC sues LGED ExEn and three others

The Anti Corruption Commission- ACC has lodged a case against Local Government and Engineering Department's (LGED) Dhaka district Executive Engineer (ExEn) Muhammad Bachchu Mia and three others including Senior Assistant Engineer Md. Saber Ali, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Shams Javed and M/s Nirman Engineers owner Abu Sayed Khan.

The case was filed by ACC's Assistant Director Swapan Kumar Roy on Tuesday for their alleged involvement in embezzling government funds without completing the construction work of Gabtoli government primary school in the capital. ACC Deputy Director (Media) Akhtarul Islam disclosed it yesterday to journalists.

According to the case statement, in collusion with each other, the accused misused government power to embezzle Tk one crore, 22 lakh, 19 thousand and 806 by fraudulent activities without completing the third and fourth floor of the building of Gabtoli government primary school.
