Ansar members will perform highest duty during polls: Home Adviser

 
Home Adviser Lt. General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that Ansar-Village Defence Party (VDP) members will be carrying out the highest magnitude of duty during the upcoming elections. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury spoke out this statement on Tuesday (28 October 2025) while addressing a program in the Ansar-VDP Headquarters in Dhaka. 

Lt. General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) informed that 13 Ansar members will be deployed in each polling center including both male and female personnel. One armed Ansar member will accompany each Presiding Officer this time during polls. Ansar-VDP officers and troops will remain deployed all over Bangladesh for nine days on account of elections.

Jahangir Alam Chowdhury acknowledged and admired the devotion, patriotic spirit and professionalism of Ansar-VDP officers and members. It was informed during the event that Bangladesh Ansar Welfare Trust purchased 31 transports with its own financial capacity.

 
Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
