Attack on government employees protested
A protest rally was held in Brahmanabaria on Wednesday condemning the attacks on government officials and employees.
'Brahmanbaria Non-Gazetted Collectorate Officers-Employees Paribar' staged the programme in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Brahmanbaria.
On October 22, a group of miscreants carried out attacks on government officials and employees over the lease of Bansh Patti (Bamboo Market) at Anandabazar in Brahmanbaria town.
Collectorate Non-Gazetted Government Officials-Employees Welfare Cooperative Society Convener MM Zakaria Ahmed, Member Secretary Rubel Mia, DC office's deputy administrative officer Md Shahjada Khan spoke at the protest rally, among others.
They demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators and exemplary punishment. Later, they handed over a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Didaraul Alam. The DC assured them of bringing the 'attackers' under the ambit of the law.
