BUFT organizes fair to explore resourceful youths for textile sector

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) successfully hosted the "Shin Shin Group Presents National Textile Management Fair 2025" on 16 November 2025 (Sunday) at its Nishatnagar campus in Turag, Dhaka. Powered by Auko-Tex Group, co-powered by Citizens Bank, and sponsored by DYSIN and Lejin International Limited, the event organized by the BUFT Textile Engineering Management & Innovation Club (BTEMIC), brought together over 700 participants from 61 institutions, including 24 universities and 37 colleges.

The opening session included speeches from BUFT leaders and industry experts, including Professor Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean, Faculty of Sciences; Md. Rafiquzzaman, Registrar; Sharmin Alam Simi (Standard MH Group); Mohammad Faizur Rahman (AUST); TIM Zahid Hossain (Shin Shin Group); and Sayeed Ahmed Chowdhury (Square Textiles Division), who emphasized innovation-driven education and the importance of industry collaboration. The closing program and prize giving ceremony were presided over by Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT & former BGMEA President. Mohammed Nasir, Member of BoT, BUFT; Mohammad Sohel Sadat, Chairman, Shin Shin Group; Mohammad Hasan Arif, Vice Chairman, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB); Shahid Hussain Shamim, Director, SME Foundation; Engr. Abdus Sobhan, Managing Director, AUKO-TEX Group; Mehedi Hasan, Managing Director, Nature Craft Bangladesh Ltd. and Rafi Islam, CEO & Founder, BWM joined the programs as special guests.

The dignitaries later on handed over prizes to winners in various categories.
