Teachers' work-abstention "No promotion, no work" continues

Teachers' work-abstention

With the slogan, "No promotion, no work", the BCS (General) cadre teachers of government colleges of Bogura district have been continuing work-abstention as a part of country-wide demonstration.

The demonstration demands hasty declaration of the promotion-related Government Order (GO) by the interim government.  Like other colleges of Bogura, the 12-14 years promotion-deprived teachers of Government Azizul Haque College and Shah Sultan College of Bogura have been demanding their rightful demands and continuing their programme tilted "No promotion, no work" in their respective institution.

Otherwise, out of personal frustration and professional damaged they threatened for tougher action in future. They declared previously for the work-abstention if their demands would remain unmet.

College sources said that 48 teachers from different departments of Govt. Azizul Haque College and 25 teachers from Govt. Shah Sultan College have been deprived from their promotion though they have fulfilled all necessary job efficiency.

They have been passing their frustrated state of lives due to their deprivation of expected promotion though officers of other cadres of same BCS have been enjoying their timely promotion which is time-long discriminatory and the regular academic activities would be greatly hampered, added the teachers.
