Rajshahi University has published the requirements for applying under quota in the admission test for the 2025-26 academic year.
The information was confirmed in a notice signed by the university's acting registrar, Prof Dr Iftikharul Alam Masud. According to the notice, candidates from ethnic minority communities who obtain the minimum pass mark of 40 in the admission test must appear before the Ethnic Minority Selection Committee within the scheduled timeframe. They must bring attested copies of their community certificates along with all necessary academic documents. Children of freedom fighters securing at least 40 marks in the test will also be required to attend the Freedom Fighter Quota Selection Committee meeting within the stipulated time as announced on the university website. They must present attested copies of their parents' freedom fighter certificates and relevant academic papers.
Similarly, physically challenged candidates attaining the minimum qualifying score must appear before the respective selection committee with disability certificates and academic records. Applicants under the sports quota must present documents proving participation in any national-level sporting event within the last two years.
They must attend the Sports Selection Committee meeting as per the schedule published on the RU website.
The notice clarifies that the minimum pass mark of 40 for all categories of quotas is non-negotiable and cannot be relaxed under any circumstances. It further states that candidates must apply for their respective quotas strictly following the online guidelines. Failure to do so will render their quota application invalid.
