Ex NCP leader Muntasir wants travel ban on student advisers

Expelled leader of National Citizens Party (NCP) Muntasir Mahmud has made an explosive comment about student leaders who have been Advisers in Bangladesh interim government.

Muntasir Mahmud said on his Facebook page that the authorities concerned must ensure restraining the student advisers from traveling abroad. Muntasir Mahmud called upon Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus to issue orders to impose travel bans on student advisers immediately. Earlier on, Muntasir Mahmud appeared on Facebook live on Friday midnight (14 November 2025) and blamed student advisers for selling out the July Revolution. According to Muntasir Mahmud, student advisers have done the highest magnitude of corruption in Bangladesh since August 2024. Muntasir Mahmud stated that following the overthrow of banned outfit Awami League, student coordinators became highly influential and some of them became Advisers in the interim government. These young Advisers grabbed absolute power at that time, Muntasir Mahmud commented.

Muntasir Mahmud complained that student advisers gobbled up hundreds of crores taka for transfer orders of Deputy Commissioners (DCs), police officers, appointment of Managing Directors in government organizations and autonomous institutions. Muntasir Mahmud slammed student advisers for committing deceptions with the values and essence of July Uprising and playing a double game with Bangladesh's people.

Former NCP leader Muntasir Mahmud has also put forward graft allegations about Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuz Alam's elder brother Mahbub Alam. Similar corruption connivance was reported on NCP leader Akhter Hossain.
