UNO seeks cooperation from all to improve law and order
Md Abubakor Sarkar, who recently joined as Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) in Brahmanbaria's Sarail, has sought cooperation from all concerned with a view to improving the law and order situation in the upazila.
He was chairing a meeting of the monthly law and order committee on Monday at the upazila parishad auditorium.
UNO Md Abubakor Sarkar got introduced with the officials and employees of the upazila administration and discussed the law and order situation.
The UNO said, "I've just joined the upazila and I need sincere cooperation from all concerned to resolve all problems including the law and order. We never compromise with village clashes and drug menaces."
He voiced warning against those who instigate people to get engaged in bloody clashes.
Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr Nizam Uddin, Army's senior warrant officer Md Billal, Sarail police station's Inspector (Investigation) Md Jahirul Islam, Sarail Upazila BNP President Anisul Islam Thakur, Upazila Jamaat Ameer Enam Khan, Sarail Pilot Girls' High School acting headmaster Md Anowar Hossain, Sarail Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Jabbar, Shahjadapur Union Parishad Administrator Md Masud Rana, Mowlana Mainul Islam Khandaker, Mowlana Jahirul Islam, NCP's Hazi Md Mobarak Hossain, Ayub Khan, Momin Mia, Sarail Upazila Reporters Unity General Secretary Taslim Uddin, Sarail Press Club General Secretary Toufique Ahmed Tafsir, heroic freedom fighter Mahfuzur Rahman, journalist Sharif Uddin, Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Jannat Sultana and Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Beauty Akter were present at the meeting, among others.
In the meeting, speakers raised the issues like drugs, village clashes, market monitoring, traffic congestion, thefts, robberies and sought actions against these social problems.
