BUFT signs deal to link up academic learning with industrial needs

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) held its Industry-Academia Partnership MoU Signing Ceremony at the BoT Conference Room, reinforcing its commitment to stronger collaboration with leading industry partners. 

The event, held on 25 November 2025, was graced by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mohammed Nasir, Member of BoT, BUFT; Prof. Eng. Dr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor of BUFT, along with senior representatives from participating organizations, attended the ceremony, which marked an important milestone for the university. BUFT signed partnership agreements with Giant Group, Shasha Denim PLC, Fashion Step Group, and the Professional Management Institute (PMI). 

These new collaborations aim to enhance student development, practical training, research, and innovation by strengthening the connection between academic learning and industry needs. BUFT leaders expressed confidence that the partnerships will 
contribute significantly to preparing students for a dynamic and competitive global fashion and textile sector.
