Narayanganj's Bandar Upazila Fire Service and Civil Defence organzed an awareness and practical training session on earthquake preparedness and fire safety at Government Kadam Rasul College and Nasimuddin Fakir Chand High School on Tuesday.
During the program, students were briefed on the necessary safety measures to be taken during an earthquake, along with detailed discussions on fire prevention and emergency response. A live demonstration of fire extinguishing techniques was also conducted to provide hands-on experience to the students. As part of the awareness campaign, the emergency hotline number 102 was widely promoted among the students for immediate assistance during fire-related emergencies. Station Officer Sanjay Khan, along with members of the Bandar Upazila Fire Station, fire fighters, and Urban Community Volunteers, were present at the event and actively conducted the training sessions.
The authorities of both the college and the school, along with the students, expressed their sincere gratitude to the Bandar Fire Service Unit for organizing such an important and life-saving awareness program.
