Jhalakathi DC holds view-exchange meeting in Nalchity
Newly-joined Deputy Commissioner of Jhalakathi Md Momin Uddin exchanged views with government officials, political leaders, freedom fighters, journalist, local public representative and dignitaries in Nalchity upazila of the district.
The meeting was held at the upazila parishad auditorium on Monday with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jubayer Habib in the chair.
Speaking as the chief guest, newly-joined DC Md Momin Uddin said, "Nalchity upazila has immense potentials. The law and order situation will improve gradually to ensure a free, fair and neutral election."
Earlier, Nalchity Press Club greeted the newly-joined Deputy Commissioner of Jhalakathi Md Momin Uddin with floral bouquet. The meeting was conducted by Upazila Rural Development Officer Obaidul Islam while Upazila BNP President Advocate Anisur Rahman Khan Helal, former mayor of Nalchity Municipality Md Mujibur Rahman, Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad member Bir Muktijoddha Mahbubur Rahman, Bir Muktijoddha former UP Chairman Rafiqul Islam Molla, Nalchity Police Inspector (Investigation) Md Ashraf Ali and Upazila Agriculture Officer Mostafizur Rahman, among others, addressed on the occasion.
At the end of meeting, Deputy Commissioner Momin Uddin distributed blankets among the poor and planted trees on the upazila parishad premises.
