Meghna Bank elevates Md. Sadiqur Rahman to AMD

Meghna Bank PLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Md. Sadiqur Rahman to the position of Additional Managing Director. Prior to this elevation, he served as Deputy Managing Director and also held the role of Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge). Mr. Rahman is a seasoned banking professional with 28 years of diversified experience in Branch Banking, Retail & SME Banking, Treasury, Credit, Foreign Exchange, ALM, Treasury Risk Management, Capital Market Operations and Islamic Banking. He has been a key member of the Bank’s MANCOM, ALCO, SMT, CRMC, RMC and Investment Committee. He has also been serving as Director and TREC Holder Representative of Meghna Bank Securities Ltd. since its inception. Mr. Rahman started his banking career at Sonali Bank PLC in 1998 as senior officer under BRC.

and later held several pivotal leadership positions at AB Bank Limited. Since joining Meghna Bank PLC in 2013, he has played an instrumental role in driving the Bank’s growth, operational excellence and strategic advancements.

He holds an MBA from the University of Dhaka, MBM and DAIBB, alongside multiple professional certifications, including CERM, CECM, CEAF, CIBFP, CPSME, CSAA and DIB. He has also participated in various trainings both at home and abroad.

Mr. Rahman is actively involved in several industry bodies, including BAFEDA, PDBL and BAMDA, and contributes as a discussant, facilitator and resource person for various professional programs.
