In a significant move toward greener, smarter, and more efficient urban development, NextBlock AAC, the first AAC block manufacturer in Bangladesh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Asian Duplex Town Ltd. The ceremony was held at the Asian Duplex Town corporate office in Banani, Dhaka.
Under this agreement, Asian Duplex Town will integrate NextBlock AAC’s advanced autoclaved aerated concrete blocks into their upcoming residential projects — most notably their planned 200-bigha duplex neighborhood, “Asian Duplex Town.” The decision reflects a growing recognition in the real estate sector that modern construction requires environmentally responsible materials that ensure long-term comfort, safety, structural resilience, and cost efficiency.
AAC blocks bring a set of powerful advantages that make them exceptionally suitable for a community-scale development like Asian Duplex Town. Their superior thermal insulation ensures cooler, energy-efficient homes ideal for Bangladesh’s climate. AAC also provides excellent fire and sound resistance, enhancing safety and privacy — essential elements for family living.
By adopting AAC, Asian Duplex Town is not only enhancing the build quality of its flagship project but also supporting Bangladesh’s broader vision for green building practices, reduced energy consumption, and sustainable urban development.
The ceremony brought together leadership representatives from both organizations.
From NextBlock AAC, the event was attended by Mr. Shahriar Sajjad, Managing Director of Eco-Friendly Green Bricks Ltd. and Tilottoma Bangla Group, who emphasized the importance of modern, eco-friendly materials in shaping the future of housing. He was accompanied by Mr. Mazharul Alam, Head of Sales; Mr. Jany Bagmar, AGM of Tilottoma Bangla Group; Mr. Afzalul Chowdhury, Assistant Manager, Technical; and Mr. Jahid Hasan Khan, Assistant Manager, Brand.
From Asian Duplex Town Ltd., attendees included Mr. Bilash Das, Chairman; Mr. Ahsanul Kabir Siddiquee, Manager, Supply Chain; Mr. Sakib Hossain Arko, Senior Manager, Brand; and Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Khan, GM, Legal & Admin. Collectively, they reiterated their commitment to incorporating sustainable and high-performing materials into the project.
