Four Bangladeshi content  creators awarded

The Shomotay Tarunno: Youth for Equality Project handed over 'Gender Sensitive Content Award 2025' to three content creators and one influencer at an event on Wednesday night organized by JAAGO Foundation Trust at Aloki Convention Center in Dhaka, according to a press release received yesterday.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands funded the four-year-long project jointly implemented by JAAGO Foundation Trust and Plan International Bangladesh.

Social media content creators Md. Nur A Alam and Erin Akter were awarded in the category of 'Emerging Voice on Social Media in Gender Advocacy'. Murshidul Alam Bhuiya received a special recognition for creativity in this category. Social media influencer Kaarina Kaisar was awarded in the category of 'Gender Sensitive Influencer of the Year'.

M A Akher, Director-Admin, Department of Youth Development was present as the chief guest while Korvi Rakshand, Founder and Executive Director of JAAGO Foundation Trust chaired the event.

Bert Essink, Financial Adviser at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Mohammed Maheen Newaz Chowdhury, Director of Programs at Plan International Bangladesh; Kazi Moklesur Rahman, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports were present as special guests.
