U.S. Marines and Bangladesh military personnel participated in a joint physical fitness and camaraderie-building event at Bangladesh Army Stadium on 18 December 2025, according to a press release from the US Embassy, Dhaka. Centered on the Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test, the exercise promoted teamwork, trust, and readiness among service members from both nations.
"This event reflects the enduring partnership between the United States and Bangladesh," said a U.S. Defense Attaché Office representative. "Training side-by-side strengthens the trust and teamwork that underpin our shared commitment to regional security."
This exchange builds on longstanding U.S.-Bangladesh military cooperation, including joint training, humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and professional military education. The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka remains committed to advancing defense collaboration and deepening the bonds between our armed forces, the press release concludes. It may be added that the United States of America has been a vital development partner for Bangladesh since the very inception of Bangladesh. Military forces from both the USA and Bangladesh have carried out joint exercises on various occasions during previous years too.
