Blankets distributed among Narayanganj destitute people

Narayanganj district administration distributed blankets to the homeless and underprivileged people of city at midnight due to the severity of the winter.
On Thursday (December 25), at 1 am, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Raihan Kabir handed over blankets to the cold-stricken people at the central railway station and launch terminal area of the metropolis early hour on Friday.

While distributing the blankets, the DC said, "An initiative has been taken to distribute blankets sent from the Chief Advisor's fund. As part of this, winter clothes are being provided to helpless and distressed people in various upazilas of the district. Those who do not have any clothes to protect themselves from the cold understand the hardships of winter best. It is a joy for us to be able to hand over a blanket to a cold-stricken person." He called on everyone to come forward from their respective positions in social service.Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Alamgir Hossain, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md Tariqul Islam, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Fayez Uddin along with officials from the district administration were present at the program.
