Chattogram Royals posted a convincing 14-run win over Sylhet Titans in a high-scoring Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) clash at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday night.

They laid the foundation for victory with a commanding batting performance, highlighted by superb knocks from Rossington and Mahmudul Hasan Joy. Their impressive bowling then outclassed the Titans, despite a strong fightback in the second innings. The Royals won the match by 14 runs, handing Sylhet Titans another disappointing defeat on their home ground.

The star of the match was Mahmudul Hasan Joy, as his blazing innings of 44 runs allowed Chattogram Royals to post a big total of 198 in the first innings. Coming out to bat at number three, he tore apart the Titans bowling lineup by playing shots all around the ground.

Chattogram Royals got off to a great start by batting positively in the first innings. Their openers took advantage of the Powerplay to score runs quickly, however, Mohammad Naim lost his wicket after scoring 18 runs. The other in-form opener, Adam Rossington, continued his aggressive approach by taking on the Titans' bowlers confidently despite Naim's early departure.

He was all set to score a fighting half-century, but Ruyel Miah got him out for 49 runs. Nevertheless, his innings was still impressive, providing the Royals with a solid foundation to post a big total on the board.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy, who came in at number three, was the standout batter for Chattogram. He batted at a strike rate of 209 to give Royals a huge boost in the first innings. By hitting three fours and four towering sixes, he stunned the Sylhet Titans' bowling attack, which had little answer to his aggressive stroke play.

He got out after scoring rapid 44 runs, giving the middle order of Royals a launchpad to go big in the end. The captain of Chattogram Royals, Mahedi Hasan, then played a solid cameo in the final overs. He struck the indisciplined Titans' bowlers confidently by backing his hitting skills. Due to his unbeaten 33 runs, Chattogram Royals managed to score 198 at the end of the first innings.
