Traffic-Gulshan Division adjudged best in DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali has awarded officers of various ranks for their outstanding contributions to maintaining law and order, crime control and public safety in the capital.

The awards were handed over at the DMP's Monthly Crime Review Meeting for December held at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Wednesday morning. In the traffic category, Traffic-Gulshan Division was awarded as the best traffic division. 

Sergeant SM Abdul Aziz of Rampura Traffic Zone and Sergeant Anjum Al Hasib of Mohakhali Traffic Zone were jointly selected as the best traffic sergeants.

Tejgaon Division emerged as the best crime division of DMP for December, while Chawkbazar Police Station was selected as the best police station. Mohammadpur Zone Assistant Police Commissioner Md. Abdullah Al Mamun was adjudged the best assistant police commissioner.

DB-Lalbagh Division was recognized as the best intelligence unit. Assistant Police Commissioner Enayet Kabir Shoyeb of the Organized Crime, Vehicle Theft Recovery and Prevention Team under DB-Lalbagh Division was named the best team leader.

Additional Police Commissioner (Admin) Md. Sarwar,  Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) SN Md. Nazrul Islam,  Additional Police Commissioner (Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime) Md. Masud Karim, Additional Police Commissioner (DB) Md. Shafiqul Islam and Additional Police Commissioner (Logistics, Finance and Procurement) Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali, along with joint police commissioners, deputy police commissioners, officers-in-charge of all DMP police stations and police officers of various ranks, were present at the event.

The monthly crime review meeting was conducted by Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Md. Faruk Hossain.
