A prayer and milad mahfil was held in Gazipur to pray for the soul of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, the uncompromising guardian of democracy.  Organized by the Bhawalgarh Union No. 5 Ward BNP branch and associate organization of Gazipur Sadar Upazila, the said Doa and Milad Mahfil was presided over by prominent businessman and social worker Selim Bhuiyan and moderated by Gazipur Sadar Upazila BNP Member Secretary Abu Bakar Siddique. 

The Chief Guest was the Deputy Health Affairs Secretary of the Central BNP and Senior Joint Convener of Gazipur District BNP, Professor Dr. S.M. Rafiqul Islam (Bachchu). Special guests were Gazipur Sadar Upazila BNP Convener Abu Taher Musulli, prominent industrialist AKM Afzal ul-Monir, Gazipur Sadar Upazila BNP former General Secretary Joynal Abedin Rizvi and thousands of people from the area were present.
