The 25th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show (DIFS) 2026 (Winter Edition) was inaugurated on Wednesday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, marking a milestone as Bangladesh’s original and longest-running B2B yarn and fabric sourcing exhibition celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Jointly organised by CEMS-Global USA and CCPIT-TEX (Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China), the four-day exhibition will run from 28 to 31 January, bringing together global textile manufacturers and suppliers across the full value chain.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Meherun N Islam, president and group managing director of CEMS-Global USA & Asia-Pacific, and Chen Bo, deputy secretary-general and director of CCPIT-TEX.
Distinguished guests at the event included Song Yang, commercial consul of the Chinese embassy in Bangladesh; Arifur Rahman Khan, additional secretary and director general (in-charge) of the Department of Textiles under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute; Md Firoz Uddin.
, additional secretary of the Ministry of Industries; and Nafis-Ud-Doula, director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
Organisers said the 25th edition of DIFS marks a significant industry milestone, highlighting its quarter-century legacy as the country’s leading yarn and fabric sourcing platform. As global supply chains undergo realignment with a growing emphasis on sustainability, DIFS 2026 is positioning itself as a bridge between Bangladesh’s US$47+ billion apparel sector and international textile manufacturers and strategic partners.
Bangladesh has emerged as one of the world’s largest apparel exporters, driving strong demand for quality raw materials and textile inputs. Over its previous 24 editions, DIFS has played a key role in linking global suppliers with Bangladesh’s manufacturing ecosystem, supporting competitiveness, diversification and capacity expansion. The organisers said the current edition brings together leading manufacturers and supplier groups from major textile-producing countries, making it a critical platform for sourcing, partnership development and supply-chain resilience. CEMS-Global USA is a New York-based multinational exhibition organiser with a portfolio of specialised B2B trade shows across Asia, Africa and Latin America. CCPIT-TEX, under the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, works to promote international cooperation and trade within China’s textile and apparel sector. The exhibition is part of CEMS-Global’s Textile Series of Exhibitions, held across different countries including Bangladesh, Brazil, Morocco, Thailand and Sri Lanka. The fair will remain open to business visitors from 10am to 7pm daily upon registration. Industry professionals can register online and pre-schedule meetings with exhibitors through the official exhibition platforms.
