South Era Network’s documentary “Between Two Futures: Episode 10” has been released

SouthEra Network has released the tenth episode of its documentary series “BetweenTwo Futures.” This episode offers a deep investigation into a very importantchapter in Bangladesh’s history — the 18 months following the July 2024 massuprising and the trajectory of political change.

 

Thedocumentary presents a chronology of events, including the nationwide massuprising in July 2024, the developments after Sheikh Hasina fled to India, theformation of an interim government, and the preparations for the upcomingnational parliamentary election and referendum scheduled for 12 February.

 

Episode10 shows that although the Arab Spring was promoted as a major event in globalmedia a few years ago, global media remained silent during the July 2024uprising because India, a friendly neighbor of Hasina, was able to build anarrative in her favor. The episode also explains how Delhi legitimizedHasina’s 15-year rule in Bangladesh. Ultimately, Hasina’s rule came to an endafter the July 2024 mass uprising. Later, the United Nations stated thatHasina’s forces killed more than 1,400 people. This chapter also describes howIndian media created false stories about Hindu persecution in Bangladesh afterHasina fled to India.
