Former state minister Abdul Mannan Khan dies

Former State Minister Abdul Mannan Khan is no more. He passed away on Tuesday evening (10 February 2026) while undergoing medical treatment in the capital's Square Hospital. He was suffering from different old age complications for a long time.

Abdul Mannan Khan won the 2009 elections from Dhaka-1 constituency. He was assigned with the Ministry of Housing and Public Works by the then Awami League government. He was a veteran Awami League leader. He held significant posts in Awami League during three tenures.

Abdul Mannan Khan was also Awami League presidium member during his political career. During his student life, Abdul Mannan Khan was a top leader of Chhatra Union.

In his professional life Abdul Mannan Khan was a renowned legal expert. He was also President of Supreme Court Bar Association once upon a time.
