Immediate past BB Governor and his Adviser quit in a hurry

Immediate past Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur moved out of the central bank yesterday in a hurry as soon as the news about his replacement broke out among BB employees who were reportedly furious with the BB top management for last 18 months.

Right after Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur left Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday, his Adviser Ahsan Ullah was forced to leave the central bank yesterday. Leaders of Bangladesh Bank Officers Council kicked up a hue and cry after Ahsan H. Mansur left his office yesterday. This restless situation scared Mr. Mansur's Adviser Ahsan Ullah who moved away from Bangladesh Bank quickly.

Eye witnesses have told journalists that some employees chased Ahsan Ullah to get hold of him but Ahsan Ullah was lucky enough to leave the place without facing aggressive reactions from his colleagues. Sources closely associated with Bangladesh Bank have reported that both Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur and his Adviser Ahsan Ullah left the central bank yesterday hastily to avoid untoward circumstances.
