New DGFI chief's profile is a decorated one
A remarkable magnitude of changes in the top positions in Bangladesh Army has been made after the new government took oath on 17 February 2026. In the latest reshuffle, Major General Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury has been appointed in the top post of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI). DGFI is Bangladesh's largest military intelligence division. Major General Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury belongs to the 29th Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) long course. He has successfully accomplished different training courses at home and abroad. He secured the second best place in his batch.
Major General Kaiser Rashid completed Staff Course twice from Bangladesh and the United Kingdom. Moreover, he completed Artillery Basic Course from Turkey and Gunnery Staff Course from Pakistan.
During his decorated professional career, Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury held vital posts in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Defence Services Command and Staff College, School of Artillery etcetera during different terms.
Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury joined the UN Headquarters in 2019 where he played substantial roles in fortifying Bangladesh's glory in UN peacekeeping missions.
He also created greater space with his worth and sagacity for higher deployment of Bangladeshi forces in UN peacekeeping missions in various countries.
