BICM research seminar–53 held

The 53rd Research Seminar of the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) was held on Monday at the Institute’s Multipurpose Hall. 

The keynote paper, titled “Natural Resource Intensity and Financial Distress Dynamics: An Empirical Investigation across South Asian Energy Firms,” was presented by Gaurab Roy, Lecturer at BICM.

The seminar was chaired and moderated by Wajid Hasan Shah, Executive President of BICM. Distinguished discussants included Professor Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque, Director General of the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), and Arif M. Faisal, Programme Specialist (Nature, Climate and Energy) at United Nations Development Programme, Bangladesh. 

The discussants joined the session virtually and provided in-depth analyses and constructive feedback on various aspects of the research presentation, according to a press release. As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening the research excellence of its internal faculty members, BICM regularly organizes research seminars. Research Seminar–53 was arranged in continuation of this initiative. All faculty members, officials of the Institute, and invited guests were present at the event.
