Iftar Gathering of Pir-Mashayekh Held in the Capital Calling for Sufi Unity

An Iftar gathering honoring Pir-Mashayekh and Sufi scholars was held in the capital on Sunday, calling for stronger unity among the various Sufi orders of the country.

The event was organized at the invitation of Imam Professor Dr. Kudrat-e-Khoda Huzur, leader of Mohammadi Islam. More than five hundred Pir-Mashayekh, Sufi practitioners, Islamic scholars, and distinguished followers of different Sufi orders from home and abroad attended the gathering.

Speakers at the event stated that the core teachings of Sufism are love, tolerance, and the welfare of humanity. They emphasized that strengthening cooperation and unity among followers of different Sufi orders in the country is the need of the time.

Imam Professor Dr. Kudrat-e-Khoda Huzur said that if the divisions within the Sufi community can be overcome and a coordinated position established, it would help spread the message of peace, compassion, and morality in society more strongly.

Among those present at the Iftar gathering were Hazrat Maulana Ataye Rabbi Siddiqui As-Saifi of Saifiya Darbar Sharif; Haji Syed Wasim Uddin Chishti of Wali Manzil of Ajmer Sharif in India; Emeritus Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman of the University of Dhaka; Dr. Mohammad Ahsanul Hadi of Mohammadiya Darbar Sharif; Justice Syed Md. Ziaul Karim of the Supreme Court; Dr. M. Abdul Quddus Badsha of the Bangladesh Imamia Ulama Society; Mohammad Golam Mostofa Bhuiya Al-Waisi of Mehedibagh Darbar Sharif in Kolkata; Pir Sahib Tajinur Rahman of Garpara Imambara Darbar Sharif; Shah Sufi Syed Anwar Mobaraki Al-Qadri of Bakshi Bazar Khanqa Sharif; Allama Hanif Noori of Nure Haq Darbar Sharif; and Dr. Syed Shah Sufi Muqtadir Noori Al-Sureshwari of Sureshwar Darbar Sharif, among others.
