Bangladesh U-20 Women's National Team will face the China U-20 Women's National Team on Saturday in their second group stage fixture, scheduled to kick off at 4:00 PM (3:00 PM Dhaka time) at Rajamangala Stadium.
The match will be broadcast live on T Sports.
Ahead of the match, Bangladesh U-20 Women's National Football Team underwent their training session in Bangkok on Friday morning, training from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Alpine Training Camp (Pitch 2).
Despite the hot and humid conditions, the Head Coach conducted an intensive 75-minute session focusing on structured warm-ups, passing drills and a competitive intra-squad practice match based on game scenarios. The coaching staff worked closely with the players to address areas of improvement identified from the previous match. The session concluded with set-piece training, covering both attacking and defensive situations from different areas of the field. Head Coach Peter Butler also led an on-field discussion, highlighting key learnings from the last match and outlining necessary tactical adjustments ahead of the upcoming fixture.
All players remain in good health, with no serious injuries reported. The full squad is available for selection for the next match against China PR.
Earlier, Bangladesh made losing start in the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup when they suffered a 3-2 goal defeat to host Thailand in their opening group A match held at Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok on last week.
Despite taking lead in the first half, Bangladesh's all effort went in vain as Aripita and Co. failed to keep the tempo and eventually lost the match.
Following attacks and counter attacks, Bangladesh finally took the lead when Mst Sagoria scored her first goal in the 36th minute.
After resumption, Mst Sagoria doubled the lead again scoring her second goal for Bangladesh in the 50th minute.
Thailand however staged a brilliant fight back in the match scoring two goals in a span of seven minutes. Kurisara Limpawanich reduced the margin scoring the first goal for Thailand converting penalty in the 69th minute while Rinyaphat Moondong leveled the margin scoring the second goal for the hosts in the 76th minute also from a spot kick.
Pitchayathida Manowang sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Thailand in the 79th minute of the match.
Bangladesh however tried their best to stage a fight back in the match, but they could not score any in the remaining proceeding.
Bangladesh U-20 women's national team, which pitted in group A along with host Thailand, China and Vietnam, will play their remaining group match against Vietnam on April 7.
