US envoy visits Dhakeshwari temple

USA ambassador in Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen has visited the Dhakeshwari National Temple and nearby religious establishments on Wednesday.
After the visit, the ambassador held a meeting with leaders of the Metropolitan Sarbojanin Puja Committee, Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad and the Dhakeshwari Temple Management Committee.
During the meeting, the leaders briefed him on the overall prevailing situation. Human Rights Officer of the embassy, Harmanoski Bernard accompanied the envoy, BSS reports.
Among others, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad Basudeb Dhar, President of Metropolitan Sarbojanin Puja Committee Jayanta Kumar Dev, General Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad Santosh Sharma, Adviser Kajal Debnath, Jayanta Sen Dipu and Milan Kanti Dutta, and General Secretary of Dhakeshwari Temple Management Committee D N Chatterjee were present.
