Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque passed away

The Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) announces with deep sorrow the passing of its former Executive Chairman, Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque.

Dr. Razzaque breathed his last today while undergoing medical treatment at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Dhaka.

"Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).

In an official statement, the BARC family expressed profound grief and extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. The Council noted that the nation has lost a distinguished agricultural scientist and a visionary leader whose contributions significantly advanced the country’s agricultural research landscape. 

The Namaz-e-Janaza for the deceased will be held tomorrow, Friday, at 11:00 AM at the BARC Central Mosque.

The BARC community joins in prayer for the eternal peace of his departed soul and for the strength of his family to navigate this irreparable loss.
