The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed their 15-player squad for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. They have retained the same squad as the one that secured a 2-1 series win in Pakistan last month.

Several players - MustafizurRahman, NahidRana, RishadHossain, and Shoriful Islam - have been recalled from the Pakistan Super League to take part in the series.

Bangladesh's fast bowling duo, NahidRana and MustafizurRahman, showcased their skills in a thrilling Pakistan Super League (PSL) contest, as they went head-to-head for their respective teams.

However, it was Nahid's Peshawar Zalmi that emerged victorious, crushing Mustafizur's Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.

Both bowlers made significant contributions with the ball, each taking two wickets in a solid display of their bowling prowess.

Peshawar Zalmi, opting to bat first, posted a competitive total of 173-7.

Sri Lankan recruit KusalMendis led the charge with a blistering 74 off 48 balls, anchoring the innings laced with five fours and four sixes.

Lahore Qalandars' captain Shaheen Shah Afridi was the standout bowler for his side, picking up 3-22.

MustafizurRahman, as expected, was a key performer in the death overs, restricting Zalmi from posting a total above 200 as he finished with 2-30.
In response, Lahore Qalandars' batting lineup crumbled under pressure, managing a meager total of 97 all out in just 17 overs.

NahidRana, who had been in superb form with a match-winning performance of 4-0-7-3 against Karachi Kings in the previous fixture, continued his exceptional form with figures of 2-15 in this game.

Alongside him, Michael Bracewell and SufiyanMuqeem also shone with the ball, both taking three wickets apiece to seal a dominant win for Peshwar.

MehidyHasanMiraz will lead the side, which comprises of an impressive pace attack featuring NahidRana, Taskin Ahmed, MustafizurRahman and Shoriful Islam. The first two ODIs scheduled for April 17 and 20 in Dhaka, before the series concludes on April 23 in Chattogram.

Five members of the squad, NahidRana, MustafizurRahman, Shoriful Islam, RishadHossain and TanzidHasan are currently featuring in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and are set to join the group on April 12. Bangladesh and New Zealand will then contest a three-match T20I series, running from April 27 to May 2.

The board has retained the same squad that secured a 2-1 series victory against the Pakistan national cricket team at home last month.

New Zealand are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on Monday.

In addition to the ODI series, the two sides will also contest a three-match T20 International series.

The Black Caps will play the first two ODIs in Dhaka on April 17 and 20, with the third ODI set for April 23 in Chattogram.

The T20I series will begin in Chattogram, hosting the first two matches on April 27 and 29, while the final T20I will be held in Dhaka on May 2.
